6 Beach MUST HAVES for Summer 2020!

The beach season internationally is slowly drawing to a close, but we all know that in the land of wood and water (Jamaica, duh), the beach season is year round! With sun and sand in large supply, the beach is one of the solutions for an outdoor release, granted ONLY if it Is done safely and socially distant from other beach goers. As you visit your favourite beach make sure you are prepared with the following items that are sure to make your trip even more enjoyable!

*All these products can be purchased from the Saltwater/SunFactory Store*

Sun hat, perhaps?

What is the beach without a sun hat? These are currently on trend, but also very useful at blocking the glare of the sun on your face, and make for Instagram worthy photographs that are sure to have your friends longing to recreate your experience!

Foster Grant sunnies

What is a beach trip without the perfect sunglasses to amplify your “cool”? I am hardly without any pair of my sunglasses and these are my new favourite pair. Foster Grant has gorgeous designs and a wide variety for both men and women, so grab a pair or a few and pose for your new profile pic!

Australian Gold sunscreen for skin protection

The sun is great but it is also damaging to the skin. Yes, I am also talking to you (myself), you dark skinned goddess who believes she doesn’t need it! You might not see the damages right away, but EVERY SKIN needs protection from UV rays!

This Australian Gold SPF 15 Continuous Spray Sunscreen applies quick and easy and dries in no time, leaving you with all the time in the world to enjoy the beach. Filled with Vitamin C and Tea Tree Oil, this sunscreen protects the skin while having you smell like a fruit basket! Imagine enjoying your beach day, all the while protecting your skin from skin cancer and premature ageing? Sounds like a win all day to me!

Ipanema errthang!

Not gonna lie, as soon as I get to the sand, I am a shoes off toes in deep person but sometimes the sand is hot, hot, hot! so I opt to keep my slippers on until I get to my preferred spot on the beach. What can be more perfect than these water resistant slippers from Ipanema to help protect my feet from the hot sand? Easy to slip on or off and super comfortable for my trek to my destination! There are tons of styles for both men and women available!

And the towel? Ha! Many times I get to the beach and realise I’ve forgotten my towel… womp! doubling my dry off time. Don’t forget to grab your towel for your next beach trip!

Creole Jamaica Burlap Bags

How else are you gonna carry all the fabulous goodies mentioned before? Throw them all in a versatile, beach friendly, burlap bag for easy to carry comfort!

Beaches are also prime ground for crowding, so when you do visit, try to avoid large gatherings, because… covid. The Government of Jamaica, in an effort to stem the spread of the coronavirus has closed many beaches, so if there is one that you have found, that is nice and clean and has little occupants, thank the Lord and have a fantastic beach day!

Remember to check out the Saltwater and SunFactory Pages and storefront locations to purchase these beach essentials for your next trip!
